7.7.7 Live Earth – Don’t just join it, be part of it.

I’m sure you people out there have heard from various means of media of Live Earth which will commence tomorrow, 7th July. If you hadn’t, go googling.

Live Earth is a monumental music event that will bring together more than 2 billion people to combat the climate crisis. Live Earth’s 24 hours of music across 7 continents will deliver a call to action and the solutions needed to answer the call.

So let’s join it by wearing green on 7th-8th of July to show our support!

Being curious to know more about this Live Earth, I went googling on the net and by some random chance, I happened to stumble across this blog.

I say:
However skeptics or not, isn’t it better for me, you and everyone to view it in a positive way instead of squabbling over if the concert is of exaggeration?

Just face it, at least the concert will bring something out of everybody in this Earth no matter how much the energy consumption may cost at that period of 2 days. The crux of the matter is that this event will bring more than 2 billion people worldwide in an effort to save the world from a future catastrophe. (Note: I don’t use global warming as an excuse) Even if the media does say something about global warming, it is part of ‘the’ problem. Subjective or not, it’s saving the world.

Now, put it in a way that this Live Earth event is as a way of reaching to the masses to tell them that ‘Hey, join us to save the world,’. Isn’t that more appealing than what used to be campaigns? Better or not, it’ll be reaching to the ignorant minds of more than 2 billion souls and perhaps doing some good in an effort to achieve the green future become a reality. If not, near reality.

In a nutshell, whether we are drowned with propagandas that they’re not in any way exaggerating, if scientists or Al Gore himself is misrepresenting their claims, just face it that the Earth is in crisis, not because of Earth-problems but of us-alike squabbling over who is right or wrong. To think of it, it’s like a dog chasing its tail. If this continues and no action is taken, I guess we can argue till we can one day bid goodbye to mother Earth. Proactive attitude that we all ought to have.

What should we do?
Don’t just join it, be part of it!

Start reducing waste, be creative!
